KA'U PEABERRY | Ka'u Coffee

Product Description

Tasting notes: Sweet almond, raisin, maple syrup, peach blossoms, green apple; fragrant, floral, complex

Origin: Ka'u District
Farm: Wood Valley
Variety: typica and caturra
Processing: washed
Roast: medium

In fragrance and flavor, this Ka'u Peaberry is nearly indistinguishable from our estate Puna Kazumura coffee.  If you love our (sold out) Puna coffees, you'll love this too!

This limited, single estate Ka'u peaberry comes from one farm and one farmer whom we've been working with for several years now. It's was grown in high elevation area of Ka'u known as Wood Valley, where the persistent cloud cover over the valley slow the maturation of the coffee cherries and add character to the beans.

We milled and graded this coffee just 2-3 weeks ago. And freshly milled coffees, you'll find, often taste fresher, brighter, and sweeter throughout the year.  Take a moment to enjoy the fragrance after you grind this coffee - it's complex with an array of flowers, sugars, dried fruit and nuts.

We suggest enjoying this side-by-side with Kona Peaberry for a taste of a revered grade of coffee from two elite but different regions of Hawaii.
